If You are More Visual; This is for YOU!

             I previously wrote about a few simple tips to help you get started on manifesting your desires. There is another example I would like to share with you as well. Seeing as I am an artist; I am more of a visual, hands on kind of person; so this works best for me. I like that I can  "see" what it is I want, rather than just reading it. It's called a "Vision Board".

           A vision board, according to "makeavisionboard.com"  is a way to visually help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal or desire. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life. The idea here, is to get out scissors, glue, and magazines, and cut images and words that pertain to your desires. Once you have done that you can place them on your board to be displayed in your home; office; pretty much anywhere you can see the board on a regular bases. But don't fret; because we are always on our phones, and computers; you can also make one online. Vision Board Maker
So you needn't worry about cutting out images, and getting sticky with glue. :) 

Here are a few examples of vision boards others have made. Keep in mind... there is no right or wrong way to do this. It does not have to be shown to anyone. It does not have to be artistic. It can be whatever you want it to be. Remember, this is your board of desires.

3 Tips to Get You Started.

              I recently read a blog about a few simple yet useful tips to use when applying the Law of Attraction in your life that I would like to share with you. The Law of Attraction, is simply manifesting your desires to fruition. The principles behind manifesting goes back thousands of years. Presently; and back to ancient Hindu practices. Every religion has, and is using some form of manifesting abilities. There is a book, that is one of my favorites that I would like you to check out should it fancy you. It's called ."What The Bleep Do We Know?!" It has a lot to do with quantum physics, but talks a lot about what I have already touched on. There is a little bit of religion, law of attraction, manifesting and a few other things that may help you understand the concept in a new light. There are many authors to this book, and they are all very high ranking scientists, and psychologists. Sometimes it takes us hearing it from people with "authority" to actually listen. In the mean time I invite you to take a look at a few simple techniques to  get you started. :)
 
*1. You must have CLARITY.
       It's safe to say that we all have an idea of what we want in life. But, we must be more clear on how we          put it out there. We can say that we want to be "successful"; but, we must describe what we actually              mean by being "successful". We need to DEFINE what it is to us to be successful. When we start to              think about those things we activate a vibrational frequency that puts those thoughts into movement.
*2. Write down your GOALS.
        According to Tony Brooks, Building Bridges. He says that Statistics prove that writing our goals is a            good habit to obtain. He says that committing goals to paper, and reviewing them on a regular basis, you        have a 95% higher chance of achieving your desired outcomes.
*3. Be THANKFUL.
      I know it may seem a little strange to be thankful for something that isn't physically in your presence. But,      you can count the things you are thankful for now. Being grateful is proven to make us happier. When we      learn to appreciate our current situations, we can then be open to receive more things to be grateful for.

This is for the Naysayers

        I recently read an interesting article by a guy that talks about why the law of attraction doesn't work for some. He says that it is not just about our intention to manifest what we want, but it's the energy that we put out that goes with the intention that makes it work. For instance, if we say we want a car, better health, a mansion, etc. That's fine and dandy, but where's the energy that is put into those wants? I once heard a joke about a man who asked God everyday. "God let me win the lottery" he asked this over and over. Finally, God speaks and says "my Son, go buy a ticket." We can't just sit around wishing and wanting. We must put energy into the things we want.
      The Law of Attraction is not meant to be taken as a Genie in a bottle granting your wishes. It doesn't work like that. What about kids? They are not born with doubt. We put the doubt in their minds. If they were not raised to believe they couldn't have what they wanted, they would always have it. But, even still; they are great at manifesting what they want anyway. They ask for it, and if they don't get it when they want it; they make a fuss until they get it. They not only have the intent to get it, they do what they have to to get it. And they put in the energy to get it.
     I am going to use an example from the author's article that I find to be a great way to look at the law of attraction and intent on manifesting in a way you might understand better. "Consider how electricity works.  The electrons are already sitting there in the wires of your home, and they start flowing when you flip a switch to complete the circuit, thereby creating a current and providing usable electrical power to your appliances.  Although the electrons as particles move at a fairly slow pace, the electric field moves at the speed of light, so your appliances turn on right away.

Your intentions work much the same way.  The energy is already there.  You just need to get the current flowing in the right direction.  And this has virtually nothing to do with the actual content of your intentions.  Electricity doesn’t care whether it’s powering a computer or a coffee maker, nor does intentional energy care whether you’re building a business or a bomb." 

I hope this makes you consider the concept of the Law of Attraction in a different more understanding way.

I can show you the door, but you must choose to walk through.

    There is this door, it looks exactly how you imagine it does. There is no right or wrong way to see it, and there is no right or wrong way to get to it. The door is always there waiting for you to walk through; whenever you are ready. It's always open; so you never have to worry about finding a key to unlock it. Depending on your life situation though, your path may be longer or more difficult to get to than others' paths. But that doesn't mean that you won't or can't find it. 

    Through out the semester, I am going to help you learn the skills to find your door (so to speak), so when you are ready; all you have to do is choose to walk through it. I have been practicing these very same Law of Attraction methods I am going to introduce to you for over six years. I know that it works. Countless others also live by these same methods, and it is through them I have found my own way to encompass these methods to fit into my life. We come from all different walks of life; so what works for some may not work for others, and vice-versa. You will have to find what works best for you, and your lifestyle. I had many questions about this as I was learning about the Law of Attraction, as I hope you will too. It would only be natural to question this new way of thinking. 

   I will ask that you keep an open mind as I go forth in discussing this with you, because it is not what most of us are used to thinking. You will also have to be willing to "try" it out. The only fair way to judge something is by trying it ourselves. Only then can we make a fair assessment about something new. I will be talking about how to use the Law of Attraction in the most common areas of interest, such as, relationships, finances, attitude, and any others that are relevant as the semester progresses. We all make choices every single day, but why not choose the good feeling ones? 

Terrible, horrible, no good.... Wait! it doesn't have to be!!

   Let's pretend for a minute that you just woke up, but you woke up late. What goes on in your mind the moment you realize your alarm didn't perform the way you Thought it should? I can imagine that like me your first initial thought is "Crap! Now I have to hurry up and get ready, but I don't have time to shower; so I'll have to throw something on quick because if I don't get out of the house now I will have to deal with school zone traffic, and that will cause me to get every red light on the way, then I will arrive to school, and I won't find any parking places except a mile from the building I need to be in." 

   So you'll finally get to class but realize in your fury to rush to school you left your paper on your counter, and you'll make a 0 because your professor doesn't except late work (no exceptions) Ha! We all love those professors. Then you will still try to explain to him what happened, but he'll just say "sorry". You'll leave class angry, and have to walk to your next one, but realize you didn't eat this morning so maybe you'll have time to grab a bite (it's on the way to your next class anyway). You'll get to the line, and see that there's twenty people waiting with the same idea. Despite the lengthy line, you wait. 

   Finally you get to the counter and they are all out of the sandwich you wanted. Now you have to run to class on an empty stomach hungry, and even more angry.  Class starts, and all you can think about is how much you want to go home. Then you get called on during a class discussion, and because you were thinking about how hungry you were; you realized you had no idea what the professor was talking about. Now you are embarrassed, hungry, and even more upset. 

   Aah finally school is done for the day; so you get to your car, and there's a note on it saying you parked in the wrong spot; so you have a citation. GREAT!! "What else could possibly go wrong!!" you wonder. Well, we could go on and on about this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.. but why? When all you have to do is stop thinking your day is going so wrong. Yup! It's really that simple. And I am going to give you the tools to help you make a bad day turn good no matter WHAT the situation may be.

You are exactly where you want to be.. right now.

  Did you know that the very thought you are thinking right now good or bad, will be the thought that creates your next event? Did you also know that where you are in life at this moment is exactly where you actually want to be; otherwise you wouldn't be there. Makes you want to re-think what you're thinking.. right. We create our own realities, and because of this you may want to know how you can change it to be exactly what you think you want it to be. You may be asking yourself "well what about the people around us, I can't change them?" and my reply is that "we can't actually change the people around us, but we can change how we look at them, and how we feel about them, and also how we react." That is what the Law of Attraction will help us understand. 

   For the past six years I have been studying, and reading everything I could get my hands on about the subject. I have also been applying the methods in my life and can honestly say that when I have followed the Law of Attraction exactly; I have gotten the results I wanted every single time (no matter how big or small the thing I wanted was, negative or positive). 
   
   So, what is the Law of Attraction? Well to put it in terms that are easily understandable; basically it means that what we put out; we get back in return. But for those of you who would like a more exact technical definition; The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. I didn't always think this way. I was one of the biggest skeptics you would ever come across. I always felt that unless I saw it with my own eyes, or did it myself that it wasn't possible. Six years ago began what I'd like to consider that "aha" moment in my life that changed everything. I haven't looked back since.
